This year a group of IaaC students along with IaaC Academic Coordinator Silvia Brandi attended the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, Mies van der Rohe Award 2013 architectural debate and presentation ceremony. The students were given the opportunity to participate in the debate regarding Architecture and its development along with a series of world class architects, expressing their concerns and posing questions to these architects. The debate took place together with some of the most significant persons involved with the Prize since it was first granted in 1988, with the objective of discussing and promoting the analysis of European architectural creation and the principle figures involved in producing European architecture over the last 25 years, but above all to engage in research, discovery and the possibility of opening up new paths.
