01.BRIEF
The project aimed to develope a script in Grasshopper for Rhinoceros3D that creates a facade system on different free form surfaces and explore the capabilities of animation processes through this geometry. This visual scripting proceses are usefull to create data, geometry easilly and faster, when you get a working script you can change the inputs to genereate the same process automatically and get different outputs with the same logics and generate automatically updated analysis, pieces, etc. made in the script; The parametric workflow became a necessary tool for complex 3D modeling, designing, analyzing data.
02.REFERENCE FACADE – The HexBox Canopy | DTC + CodeToProduction
The HexBox, 45m² pavilion in Darlington, Australia, build in 2019, is an investigation of assemblages of timber skin, made out of pre-fabricated squares plywood plates. The design looks to plan not only a pavilion that portrays the advances of digital timber construction, but at the same time, provide a space for student while covering them from sun and rain. With the inclusion of 1531 timber segments making up 201 boxes, the HexBox shell is materialized of plywood components without the incorporation of any detail fasteners for any load-bearing points in the structure.
