MaCAD S.2 – Digital Tools for Integrative Modelling | Athenaeum Lunaris: Hospital & Research Center
The link which this project adapted between computational design and BIM modeling techniques in Revit using Rhino.Inside enabled to enhance the workflow in different aspects. From Space Syntax massing and program function breakdown to fabrication approaches. Integrating BIM context into the computational design by Rhino.Inside provided a workflow where collaboration and iterative design optimization were possible for better project documentation.
While iterative design options were generated to fulfill program needs and requirements, the documentation process for the project was incorporated in the early stages. This workflow approach via Rhino.Inside mitigated the gap between different aspects of the project such as developing the building skin outputs in parallel to the outputs from space syntax. Preparing the BIM file with Rhino.Inside to run inside the environment of Revit in an advanced step to host all the project’s elements as computational design outputs, facilitated easier process for documenting complex modeling.
