‘Keeping it alive’ is a project developed as the final task for Introduction to Programming and Physical Computing. This project was designed for a specific plant, a Maidenhair Fern. The system’s main aim was to optimize the environmental conditions of the Fern’s surrounding in order to heal its wilting symptoms (caused by high levels of soil humidity). For this projects 2 sensors and 2 actuators were used: soil humidity sensor, light sensor, DC motor and LED light.
