‘Shading Wings’ is a computational design project wire the intent was to design an origami based canopy and  pavilion that supports outdoor social interactions in a hot climate. Environmental parameters of radiation and temperature and local shading were taken as inputs for computational considerations. The site chosen is located in Abu Dhabi, surrounded on 3 sides with buildings and overlooking a surface level  parking lot on the 4th side.

An origami canopy was created by deciding fold and valley lines in an octagon and further,  multiple fold angles and its implication on the geometry and form were analyzed
