Abstract
Ethics Behind Technology is a podcast delving into a conversation with industry experts on their use and experience with the prime technologies in question. It aims to seek an open discussion in bringing reforms to a relatively new setup, anticipating an ethical, efficient and sustainable use.

The research aims to explore the possibility to take on a ‘glocal’ (global+local) approach in
- the implementation of new design tools that question concurrent production methods in the built environment sector by drawing proximity networks of local resources
- how solutions that provide local benefits could be replicable on a global scale and what other players should be part of the design process to fight for a more engaged practice with the environment how solutions that provide local benefits can be replicable on a global scale

Carlos Arroyo
Linguist ( Institute of Linguists, London, 1990), architect and urban planner (Higher Technical School of Architecture, Madrid, 1997) and researcher (PhD, 2018). Founder of Digital Rural Lab and Carlos Arroyo Architects – Madrid-based firm dealing projects in Spain, Belgium, France, Germany and Rwanda, with a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainable development. Professor of Architectural Design at Universidad Europea de Madrid, where he is Curator of the Master in Architecture.
Hélène Chartier
Master’s in science and engineering from École Centrale, is C40’s Director of Urban Planning (former Head of Zero Carbon Development), former advisor to the Mayor of Paris overlooking Greater Paris Development. She worked for Paris Urbanism Agency and as project manager at ARUP. Currently leads development programs bringing together cities and progressive players in the built environment sector in order to accelerate zero carbon buildings and sustainable urban regeneration and also leads the Students Reinventing Cities initiative.
