These assignments were aimed at understanding processing and it’s potential in architecture.

In the first part of the assignment, music beats control the text in processing, while in the second part of the assignment, a slider is created in processing. This slider is connected to a fan through arduino and it controls the speed of the fan. As the speed of the fan changes, the color of the background also changes along with it.

In this part of the assignment, the lines follow the beats of the music. The lines represent the beats of the music. The color of each line is connected to words. These words appear for different beats and different colors of lines.

Apart from these two  experiments, the music is connected to LEDs through arduino. As the beats change in processing, the lines with different colors appear on the screen with different words, and this data is translated through arduino to LED lights of different colors which act as disco lights to these beats, creating patterns of light.

These experiments were important in understanding the scope of processing in data visualization and translating that data to arduino outputs.
