CONCEPT
Man is a machine, and a complex one at that. In a bid to evolve sooner, man is shifting from a bio- machine to a machine that can make work easier for him. This bid, this evolution of science that he has used to make his work easier has a morbid end if it continues as a linear process. It is what led to the industrial revolution, mass-production and planet damaging pollution. But with the evolution of his bid to become an all-encompassing machine, man now looks back at the basics, systems he finds in nature. The machines he has built must also become like him – bio-machines that use nature to build themselves. It is in this cyclic nature of his search for that his evolution must now adopt – to the time when man’s machines are bio-machines. This narrative is directly influenced from Deleuze’s rhizome theory from A thousand Plateaus. It looks to live up to his understanding of reality, and his concept of the multiple and of non-linearity.
