-Landscape mitigation and remediation structures-
The process started with the evolution of nested catenary curves, thus producing different forms which are structurally efficient and have fluid like patterns. By way of utilizing the strength and fluidity of the forms, it will be used as erosion control and water catchment structures in the province of Banaue, Philippines; wherein landslides are caused by the interrogation of men and triggered by rampant rainfall. The structures are placed over the eroded area, which seals in the erosion, while the exterior surface acts as a drainage and water catchment system. Vegetation is grown on the ridges of the structure which will act as a binding material to the soil, and through time as the structure deteriorates the vegetation will have matured enough to bring back the landscape to it’s original state.
