Self-sufficient Building Students Road Trip in the United States
MAA Self-sufficient Building students, accompanied by Faculty Enric Ruiz Geli, are back from their trip to Canada and the United States.
They started from New York City, where the first day of the trip has been dedicated to the visit of the MOMA and the High Line, the elevated railway transformed into a public park on Manhattan’s West Side.
They lately started the road trip to Virginia, stopping by the Falling Water House by Frank Lloyd Wright and the Shenandoah National Park, straddling the crest of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.
After a workshop at the Virginia’s Polytechnic Institute – Virginia Tech, they were back on the road heading to the capital city of the United States, Washington DC, where they could visit the White House premises before flying to Montreal.
In the Canadian city they visited the Cirque du Soleil, the Québec company that has revived the modern day circus, the international research institution CCA and the experimental housing complex Habitat 67.
Back to the US, they visited Boston and its famous University Campus such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Harvard GSD.
