Adobe 3D Printing And Passive Habitat at Open Thesis Fabrication's Reviews
Until the final presentations of this December 5th, the Open Thesis Fabrication‘s students have been working together towards a collective goal and project, subdivided into different specialised research teams each focusing on a specific aspect of the project’s development.
Following IAAC’s experience in constructing Self-Sufficient Buildings, the OTF program aimed this year at producing a performative housing prototype, build in 3D printed unbaked clay, to be exhibited in Valldaura Self-sufficient Labs by March 2018.
Previous projects developed by IAAC between 2013 and 2017, such as Pylos, Terraperfoma and On Site Robotics, have proven the possibility to use additive manufacturing at architectural scale with mud and new opportunities offered by this technology are yet to be explored.
