IAAC Alumni to Inaugurate the Civil Engineering Faculty of Osijek
Congratulations to IAAC Alumni Dinko Peracic and Roman Šilje and their team for the opening of the new building for the University of Osijek’s Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek, Croatia.
The volume of the building is determined by the urban plan almost as an interpolation, where the form is embedded in a set of planned buildings. It is open to the shorter sides, and its longer facade is oriented on a narrow and high facades to neighbouring buildings.
The section of the building is profiled to receive natural light and air cross ventilation. On the west side the narrow passage is expanded and connected with hallway and porch, with larger areas for gathering. On the eastern side chamfer fronts gave more light for the classrooms and lecture halls.
