IAAC Alumni to Inaugurate Casa Papagayo Private Residence in Monterrey
Congratulations to IAAC Alumnus Ariel Valenzuela, and his partner Diego Ledesma, for the inauguration of Casa Papagayo, a private residence they recently designed in Monterrey, México.
The project, featured by Plataforma Arquitectura, is the renovation of a pre-existing building, with many structural restrictions and very limited areas. The idea of the project was to reconnect the interior spaces and generate new openings, such as the new central courtyard, that could allow a correct lighting and ventilation.
By integrating elements of parametric design to respond to project constraints, the façade is designed with the help of advanced modeling tools, combining computational design, traditional construction methods and local materials.
Ariel is a graduate of IAAC’s Master in Advanced Interaction. Find more information about the project by clicking here.
