Last week Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings (MAEB) students have explored solutions in water cycles and water systems from an ecologic, economic and sustainable point of view.

Although water is one of the most abundant substances on our planet, this valuable resource is becoming a critical factor for our ecosystems and human wellbeing.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Fundació Agbar, they could visit the Wastewater treatment plant in Besòs and Rainwater Tank in Parc de les Rieres d’Horta.

In the framework of the Aquatic Building Systems module, led by Jochen Scheerer, the students will focus on grey water treatment by a natural based system in form of green facade.
