This week our guest lecturers Jessica Rosenkrantz and Jesse Louis-Rosenberg, invited as part of the Spring Lecture Series 2017, inspired the audience with their lecture that inaugurated the Barcelona Maker Faire 2017.

Founded in 2007 by Jessica Rosenkrantz and Jesse Louis-Rosenberg, Nervous System has pioneered the application of new technologies in design, including generative systems, 3D printing, and webGL.

Drawing inspiration from natural phenomena, Nervous System designs computer programs based on processes and patterns found in nature and use those programs to create unique and affordable art, jewelry, and housewares.

During the lecture Jessica and Jess exposed their design approach and trajectory, which focuses on generative design methods using both algorithmic and physical tools to create innovative products and environments.
