This project aims to explore the potential benefits of a mostly unused and greatly undervalued resource – namely, greywater. When placed in the context of the unique typology of Barcelona’s Eixample neighbourhood, a readily available supply of greywater that is generated daily by the citizens of Eixample can be used for the purposes of urban agriculture and greenification. To take the proposal a step further, the project focuses on the user as the key element to the success of such a greywater reuse initiative by employing mechanisms of feedback and social accountability.
