CNC FURNITURE PROJECT

The task in this project was to design a furniture project with the CNC machine. Nowadays in Valldaura we don’t have all the furnitures needed, so our group thought about something that could work for the house and for all the 19 people living and studying here to feel more comfortable.

This bench is composed by 12 smalls benches which when assemblied with the 5 specific joints created along the furniture, generate a stable semi-circle where we can seat outside to relax and enjoy the beautiful view up here. It can be used in these two different shapes, together or separated, and with 2 different possible heights:

JOINTS

The whole structure of this furniture is based on its joints, in which each of them has its own particular function in order to provide the necessary stability for the bench.
