The Assignment is the 4th in the series of Computation design assignments.
The aim of this assignment was to create a live-interactive installation using forces as
parameters with the aid of interactive physics simulations using Kangaroo as the main Engine. We can create digital materiality and real-life behavior as a form-finding protocol.
The selected location for the installation will be the IaaC rooftop area.
The properties of a fiberglass rod and an elastic thread were explored in the assignment. Different properties were given to each of them.
The curves are imported from Rhino into grasshopper using the pipeline geometry component based on the layers. The first layer is for fiberglass rods in compression and the second layer is for the elastic member.
BREAKDOWN OF SEQUENCE
The main goal was to build a simple interface where the user can “play” with inputs such as attractors, sliders, functions and time to transform an object in space.
