Pergola Voramar is a pavilion proposed for the competition by the Arquiaayuda studio from Valencia.
It consists of 40 varying size frames spaced out to make up the piece, united with a continuous walkway.
It interacts directly with the sun. Since the frames are each set apart, the sun has varying effects during the day, throwing a latticework of shadows on the site, while also filtering light in different effects.
Pergola Voramar pavilion was never built. For the purpose of the competition architects made a model out of transparent and white methacrylate. Cutting and laser engraving were used as a technique.
The main element of the pavilion is the frame that keeps rotating. Each sequent frame rotates in a progressive way creating dynamic tunnel.
