MPavilion 2014
The MPavilion 2014 by Sean Godsell is a box like structure with a fully automated skin consisting of panels. Based on a 5×5 division there are 55 panels in total on the top and sides of this pavilion. The pavilion opens in the morning and closes at night in different configurations.
The pavilion is made up of pipes and beams that support the entire structure. Wherein each cell consists of a panel that opens independently through pneumatic piston arms. Having individual control over the rotation of each panel, it can create a variety of patterns and sequences.
