Solar cells, also called photovoltaic or PV cells, which is called the PV effect.

While generating electricity through photovoltaic is indeed better for the environment incidents than burning fossil fuels. Several have linked the manufacture of these panel to a trail of chemical pollution.

We need to consider very carefully, the sustained effort by consumers, manufacturers, and researchers so that the photovoltaic industry will one day be truly, not just symbolically, green.
