INTER-ACTIVE WALL is a dynamic facade that responds to light and motion.
The facade is a grid system that is generated by a responsive rectangular module.
These modules open and close according to the sunlight and user interaction.
The facade goes under a series of analysis and geometric logic to provide multiple variations.

This project demonstrates a series of analysis on the surface that is generated by Grasshopper.

The project is camera controlled and animated with Holster Camera Control.

Design Process:

  1. Create a curve using graph mapper.
  2. Extrude the curve to make a facade.
  3. Extrude the surface to make a double sided wall.
  4. Generate attractor points with MD Slider.
  5. Divide the surface to make grids on the wall.
  6. Create 4 point surfaces on each rectangle to generate each module.
  7. Rotate axis of each 4 sided surfaces on module to generate opening cells.
  8. Generate the facade according to the series of analysis.

Light responsive facade is generated by the domain of the graph mapper.

Interactive facade is generated by the attractor points.
