INSTALLATION
This installation was design using Kangaroo, a live physics engine for interactive simulation, form-finding, optimization and constraint solving. The addition of behaviors to a base geometry allows the Kangaroo solver engine to deform and transform the geometry accordingly. A myriad of iterations can be generated using the same code with minor changes in the forces applied.
BASE GEOMETRY
A simple geometry that can be easily modified.
Variation in Mesh Subdivision
PSEUDO CODE
The script was developed using the process below.
GRASSHOPPER CODE
BEHAVIORS
A variation in Anchor Points and Loads results in the following deformations.
CATALOG OF ITERATIONS
The following iterations were generated by changing different parameters.
FINAL RENDER OF INSTALLATION
Forces of Nature // ‘The Helix’ a rooftop installation, is a project of IAAC, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia developed in the Master in Advanced Architecture 2019/20 by Student: Poojitha Tadshina Reddy and Faculty: Rodrigo Aguirre
