Unity 3D Brief:
Static images or animations are no longer the only representation tool we have in our arsenal. In Unity 3D, Virtual Reality has become viable thanks to the evolution of modern computer hardware. Graphics cards are much more powerful than when Virtual Reality was first introduced. Even the software has become much more efficient and easier to use. The ‘gamification’ of our projects is not only a possibility, it will become the defacto standard for architectural presentations.
Process:
- Create terrain (using Rhino)
- Export terrain to unity and add character to the terrain (using unity)
- Add on like environment, light, camera views need to be adjusted
- Giving the user a path or set of instructions for the game.
- Publish the game as a stand-alone application.
Conclusion:
With the use of Unity 3D, it is clear how the extent of its capabilities are, since it has a wide range of application apart from just gaming. An Architectural project review through Unity 3D changes the perspective of looking at design proposals.
