PARAMETRIC GLACIER

Parametric Glacier is an interactive installation built in 2016 for “Baltas Naktis“. It was placed in the Riga Dome Cathedral which is located in the heart of Riga – old Town.

In translation to English language “Baltas Naktis“ means “White Nights“. Event is happening in the evening hours and lights are used to make installations visible.

What if Installation was luminescent and able to collect sunlight in order to shine during the evening hours? Which location in the courtyard of the Riga Dome Cathedral receives the highest amount of the sunlight during the day?
