GENETIC OPTIMIZATION // URBAN SHADE :
MAIN OBJECTIVE :
The Goal of the Optimization was to minimize the sunlight hours in the highway roads in the site. The site is located in the Mexico City in the Southern part. It is n intersection of the highways connecting at various levels. The highway bridge which is called as second floor receives maximum sunlight all throughout the year. The sunlight hours in the highway lanes are reduced by the bridges that are created between the triangular towers that are created between the existing infrastructures in the mexico city.
DIAGRAMMATIC PSEUDO CODE :
1. Selecting the Ground floor Triangular Ramps in the intersection.
2. Eliminate the smaller triangles
3. Deconstruct the faces to select the top surfaces.
4. Extracting the curves and project them on the X- axis.
5. Creating a domain to select the larger curves based on the length
6. Join the inner curves to create a polygon .
7. Create a boundary surfaces and extrude them in the Z- axis to create vertical towers.
8. By deconstructing the faces create the bridges by evaluating the certain curves.
Using the Galapagos, the bridges are moved in various Z directions to find the minimum sunlight hours in the surface area (Highway Lanes)
