The project has developed and changed throughout the design process in order to optimize all the aspects of the project following up the deskcrits.
Now we have the same conceptual framework, tweaked to fit in with the required. Installations, of frame and fabric, standing in 13 points in the site; different forms- for the frame- and hence different form of the tensile fabric depending on the frame, note that the frame is not used as a direct framing for the fabric form, but rather a collection of support points to create the interaction surfaces. The different forms of these objects will allow people from different ages to play and take part in the generation of the whole image.
So kids, will get their hands on the shorter ones, and adults on the higher ones…
This positioning of these 13 installations in the plaça is a trace back to the saint’s 13 martyrdoms in Barcelona. The idea of having a certain route inside the site is maintained by setting these objects apart to create a new circulation path. This will allow a mobile participation of people from different ages, having the kids as a main stimulator for the
whole project. the puzzle projected on the wall would not be completed unless everyone gets their hands on the 13 installations – each one of these installations will project one piece (we can do it all from one projector, and by that each one of these 13 installations turns on one part of the puzzle.
