The project started as a color mapping system in Poble Nou, but we weren’t quite sure what the criteria of the map we wanted to purchase. After weeks of developing the project, we reached a conclusion that the best way to do it is to map in a way that would improve the quality of life of the people in this area. We concentrated this experience on lights and colors in order to work with chromotherapy and create a real-time mapping system.
So we started with a site analysis at first, in order to understand more the reasons of our intervention.
And then started with the phenomena used such as the sunlight scattering and absorption phenomena.
Here are some references we got inspired from.
So combining all of these criterias we came up with our actual prototype.
So here’s an example of our first intervention in Poble Nou next to Biblioteca Xavier Benguerell.
