Albert Cañigueral Bagó, General Director of Transparency and Open Data at Generalitat de Catalunya
Born in Mataró in 1977, he is part of the first class of Multimedia Engineering at Ramón Llull University. It is from this area that he has dedicated ten years to working on digital television, both in Catalonia and in Europe and Asia. Since his return to Catalonia in 2012, after living in Taipeh for two years, Cañigueral has established himself as an independent promoter and consultant and has joined the international group Ouishare to contribute to the establishment and growth of Barcelona and various cities in Latin America. . All this, after having created and consolidated the Collaborative Consumption blog.
He is considered one of the benchmarks in the platform economy with a critical and constructive outlook, and is part of the group of experts who have prepared the report “Catalonia 2022” co-coordinated by the councilor Victoria Alsina and Genís Roca. For the last three years, he has focused on the field of the future of work and workers with a broad perspective. Among his publications, the book El trabajo ya no se lo que era: new ways of working, other ways of living (Conecta, 2020) and several studies on the same field stand out.
The value of his career is also recognized by prominent circles of experts. In this sense, he is one of the “100 of COTEC”, a member of entities such as the Digital Future Society Open Council, the Future Trends Forum of the Bankinter Foundation or Ideas For Change. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and has been included in Forbes magazine’s list of the 40 best futurists in Spain.
