//PYTHON MESH SUBDIVISON

//Concept

 Our proposal aims to investigate and to link the principals of subdivision with the mandelbrot definition. Generating a catalogue of possible outcomes that can be formed from merging the two together.

//PROCESS

Python code development

//GEOMETRY EXPLORATION

2 Mandelbrots within column

Applying 3 different “n” values for the mandelbrot to generate variations of the geometry.

// 3 Mandelbrots within column

Applying 3 different “n” values for the mandelbrot to generate variations of the geometry.

// 4 Mandelbrots within column

Applying 4 different “n” values for the mandelbrot to generate variations of the geometry.

// 5 Mandelbrots within column

Applying 5 different “n” values for the mandelbrot to generate variations of the geometry.

//DESIGN_MANDELROT  + SUBDIVISION

Applying different subdivisions to the mandelbrot derived column. Aditional attractor curves were added to see the impact on the column. Generating complex iterations by chnaging variables of depth and initial geometry created a catalogue of complex geometrical forms.

//DESIGN_Application

Visualising these columns as sculptures.
