Computational Design Assignment 02: Animation by Elliott Santos

neo/xyz is a conceptual facade generated from the geometries of a minimal surface Neovius that is planted and integrated with a target surface, both growing simultaneously. The Neovius surface begins as a sphere and by increasing its Isovalue, transforms into its minimal surface form. At the same time, Neovius is being mapped on the target surface that is increasing in height and changing shape. This project attempts to develop commentary on the possibilities of minimal surfaces integrated with mycology growth models and additive manufacturing.
