In this reading,Rudofsky analyzes through history how humans been have altered in the relationship between nature and architecture itself, stepping  outside the narrowly defined discipline that has governed our sense of architectural history and discusses the art of building as a universal phenomenon. He introduces the main concepts, that are the climate control, the human relationship with outdoors rooms, and “the garden” as a fundamental concept and how this should worked like a part of our normal environmental.   The climate control he refers through history when he exposes the journey of the English settling in North America and how they where able to adapt indoors a space qualified for their needs, but not managing integrating the outdoor like part of a whole phenomenon produce by I need and integrated by the need of making the environment part of this and see it as a solution not a problem.     The human relationship with outdoors is well explained in the example he gave with Pompeii, they were able to configure a system of spaces where outdoors, where part of the indoors, where people had always connecting with the environment and itself was part of the architecture produce in habitat.   And last but not least “gardens” they where conceived as a part of the whole element, but not part of it , it was introduce in houses, parks, buildings every place as a side away, some room you entered and leave, but not as a free open space inside the element.   So in terms of questioning myself, are we going to be able nowadays to produce spaces where nature itself creates the atmosphere and ambience, with a glance of comfort and functionality as well ? jus to be able to work with what nature has giving us , and not try to replace something’s that already there ?
