Fabrication Technique:

During this course, we were divided into a group of 2-3 to design and fabricate some furniture for Valldaura.

I and Rafael decided to do a bookcase for the man livingroom, cause we’re 6 we wanted to do a shelf for each.

One of the main points of our design was to try to include vegetation and see if something could grow. We took this project as research to a better understanding of the relation between deadwood and alive nature.

After selecting the part of wood we were interested in from the fab lab, we started cutting them with a simple tool as the Jigsaw and we made the hole for connection and for the plants.

to make them resistant to the water we painted and we added special water-resistant pellicule of silicon where we want to have the water.

Moreover, we added a water system for the plants to store the water and avoid to put water into the plants every day.

We kept this system as a research as well, to see if it could be a good or not.
