RESPONSIVE FACADE – DYNAMIC ANIMATION
Exercise to animate Facade system of Buildings. This project experiments with computational design rhinoceros and grasshopper. The AL BAHR TOWERS facade system goes under a series of analysis and geometric logic to compute a single module to multiply it and project it on to the Facade of the building.
AL BAHR TOWERS
Al Bahr Towers is a development in the emirate of Abu Dhabi consisting of two 29-storey, 145m–high towers. It is located at the intersection of Al Saada and Al Salam Street in Abu Dhabi City, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, at the eastern entrance.
To understand the logic of the facade system using Rhino and Grasshopper and to further animate its logic in Grasshopper.

STEPS TO CREATE THE FACADE ON GRASSHOPPER :
GRASSHOPPER DEFINITION FOR ANIMATION :
STEP 1: TO MAKE SINGLE MODULE AND CHANGE ITS SHAPE.
STEP 2: TO PROJECT THE MODULE ON A VARIABLE PIPE AND ANIMATE ITS MOVEMENT.
STEP 3: TO CREATE THE INNER SKIN OF THE BUILDING WITH WINDOWS AND FRAMES MESH.
FURTHER, ANIMATE IT TO MAKE DIFFERENT FACADE PATTERNS.
Assignment 2 for the computational design studio.
