Technique: Soaked bending

The lamp was conceived as an assembly of strips wrapped around a cylindrical form and fixed at the overlaps with struts.The form evolved into a vase-like structure and now has a smaller cross section at the center to conceal the  bulb, expanding out at either end to diffuse light. However, it needed further support for the twisted and bent strips to remain intact in their position. This is achieved with the discs at the top and bottom with slits for the strips.The perforations in the top disc as well as the weave of the lamp are intended to create patterns.
