For our Metabolic Systems: Energy module, one of our main considerations was the energy consumption within our project. We considered ours of function and the types of machines that were working. Including administration aspects. Also, our main advantage here is the location, Barcelona is quite sunny all year round with a few cloudy days. Especially in summer, it has long daylight hours.

We calculate our available roof area in order to have an approximation on the number of panels that we needed, as well as specified the location to know the slope in which each panel is going to be so that it can take as much advantage of solar radiation.
Our final option consisted of 655 solar panels yielding 1590 kWh/kWp with a shading loss of 1.10% and a pitch of 1 m. Our solar ratio with this option came to be 41%.
