Venus Flytrap has an opening-closing system to trap the flies. In this project, the aim is to create a choreographic wrinkled textile surface, and with different bending (chitosan-humidity) parameters make these wrinkles’ in-between surface opened and closed.

For textiles, when the printed lines are closer to each other it creates stiffness and this reduces the wrinkling effect. and when the lines touch each other they create a hill-valley effect.

Both mixtures are failed for consistency. Textile is permeable and when the material is not enough consistency it is spreading out on the surface so it is getting more difficult to apply the pattern lines. Additionally, powder cellulose and egg-white can be added to create the right consistency.
