CONCEPT

The T-chair combines two different functions in one laser cut furniture. One side can be a comfortable and ergonomic armchair and the other a side table. It was inspired by the traditional Taiwanese Breastfeed chair used for kids to eat and then when they grow up can flip it and use it as chair too. In addition to this concept, we took advantage of the possibilities that the laser cut and the carton board can have and decided to do a more organic shape.

FIRST TEST

The first test we did had failed because it was not stable due to not only the proportion of the drawing’s dimensions but also having only one support to stand up.

IMPROVEMENT

Eventually,  we made an improvement with a structure that has 4 supports making T-chair both a comfortable chair and a table.
