We have held a conversation between Taliesin and Valldaura, two centers that, at a time of physical closure of the universities, are still operating, because in both cases the students live there.

The conversation, started with a presentation by the two directors, Vicente Guallart on Valldaura, and on Taliesin, made by Aaron Betsky. The conversation has revealed the similarities and differences between both educational programs.

Taliesin was founded by Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1930’s as his winter home and office, where students worked and learned from it and had to build their own desert home. This tradition has been maintained until today.

Taliesin was one of the places that inspired IAAC to create Valldaura Labs, where various research projects and an immersive Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings & Biocities (MAEBB) program are hosted.
