ABSTRACT

Responsive Architecture seeks to establish a strong relationship between technology, structures, nature, humans, building materials to produce an architectural solution that can learn to solve problems on its own. Responsive architecture gives an interactive design solution into the form and function of designed structures to overcome environmental challenges. Architects should not only know the material performance of structure but also know how to use technology and high level of detailing in design and programming in a more creative way to provide design solutions to create a flexible design that it can adapt its climate, time, environmental changes. Technology helps designers to understand what should be sensed and actuated, and what kind of combinations of inputs or feedbacks will cause what kind of actions.
