RUFFLED TRANSFORMATIONS
The objective of this exercise is to apply computational design strategies as a form finding tool. The exercise is focused on a tridimensional manipulation of a simple sphere performed by combining multiple transformations.
PROCESS
Starting by dividing a surface of a sphere in both UV directions, followed by separating the points in two groups, joining them alternately, creating wavy curves and finally applying a ruled surface function between the two, I was able to transform a sphere into a ruffled bubble .
The transformation is controlled by scaling or moving the center point of one of the groups of lines.

GRADIENT
The color varies from red to blue according to the area of the ruffles.
