Concept :

The concept of the physical model was to have interactive visualisation by way of Projecting data from the projector on the model and highlighting the streets from below the screen.

Material:

The total model was made out of 10mm black MDF sheets glued together and was milled for streets first. Followed by adding clear resin in the milled streets part. After finishing the terrain milling from the reverse side after drying the resin for 24 hrs.

Techniques :

Milling : Initial milling of streets was in the MDF panel. The bit size used for milling was 4mm and was difficult to mill the small size with curved patterns.The milling time was 5hrs.

Resin Filling: The milled roads was then filled with clear fast setting resin. The setting time was 24hrs.

Milling: Milling on the reverse side.The terrain profiling.

Milling time: 5hrs.
